Dancing with the Stars adds Ryan Lochte, Vanilla Ice and Rick Perry to celebrity cast
ABC officially announced the celebrity cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ this morning, and this season offers one of the most eclectic bunch of celebs to date. The season will returns with a Live Premiere on Monday, September 12 at 8pm. The celebrity cast will be part of the 23rd season of the popular series, this season’s lineup of celebrity dancers includes two Gold medal-winning U.S. Olympians, a multi Grammy award-winning musician, a star of one of the most iconic television programs ever, one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, and the former governor of Texas, to name just a few. You can find out who is paired with who below, we expect the new list of celebs to crush the ratings this year, though a it may be hard to pick a favorite at first.
As announced this morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” the celebrities with their professional partners heading to the ballroom this season (in alphabetical order) are Amber Rose with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Calvin Johnson Jr. with Lindsay Arnold, Jake T. Austin with Jenna Johnson, James Hinchcliffe with Sharna Burgess, Jana Kramer with Gleb Savchenko, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds with Allison Holker, Laurie Hernandez with Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Marilu Henner with Derek Hough, Maureen McCormick with Artem Chigvintsev, Rick Perry with Emma Slater, Ryan Lochte with Cheryl Burke, Terra Jolé with Sasha Farber and Vanilla Ice (Robert Van Winkle) with Witney Carson.
Hosted by two-time Emmy Award-winning host Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews (sports host and “Dancing with the Stars” season 10 finalist), “Dancing with the Stars” is the hit series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts. The all-new season of “Dancing with the Stars” premieres Monday, September 12 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT).
