Britney Spears finally made her Carpool Karaoke debut, stopping by the Late Late Show to promote the release of her new album ‘Glory’. With a full library of pop-hits to choose from, Britney Spears brought out favorites like “Baby One More Time,” “Toxic” and her classic “Oops I Did it Again”.
The album that Spears is promoting released just this week, it’s called “Glory” and it is Spear’s ninth studio-album. A few hits have already been released from the album, the first being “Make Me” featuring G-Eazy, and more recently Spears released the single “Do You Wanna Come Over?”.
Spears is pulling out all of the stops to promote the new work, she will be following up her Carpool Karaoke debut with a live performance at the VMAs on MTV. Spears is set to perform “Make Me” at that event. Spears has had six No. 1-debuting albums on the Billboard 200 chart and 24 top 40 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 — five of which went to No. 1. She has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards and won for Best Dance Recording in 2005. Her cutting-edge pop concert Las Vegas residency, “Britney: Piece of Me,” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, has been voted “Best Show in Las Vegas” and “Best Bachelorette Show in Las Vegas.”
The Late Late Show with James Corden holds the YouTube record for the most watched late night clip with “Adele Carpool Karaoke,” which has 121 million views. The show’s YouTube Channel has amassed more than 1.5 billion total views and nearly 7 million subscribers since the show’s premiere on March 23, 2015.
THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN airs weeknights (12:37-1:37 AM, ET/PT) following broadcasts of the THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT on CBS. Ben Winston and Rob Crabbe are the executive producers.
The big moment was when Corden wore Spears’ trademark grey cardigan and pigtails from her debut “Baby One More Time” video. The pop-star was mostly all smiles and laugher in the car ride, though that isn’t exactly new to Carpool Karaoke.
