Amy Adams investigates aliens in ‘Arrival’ trailer
Amy Adams is our steadfast scientific lead in a new mystery-thriller hitting theaters this fall. The film, which was directed by Denis Villeneuve, is called ‘Arrival’ and will premiere in theaters across the country this November.
According to Paramount Pictures, when mysterious spacecrafts suddenly appear across the globe, an elite team – lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate. The new trailer teases that mankind is on the brink of global war as fear and panic set in across the world. It will be up to Banks and her team to race to find answers before chaos causes the annihilation of the human race. The story was written by Ted Chiang, the screenplay for the project was written by Eric Heisserer.
Joining Amy Adams in the film are Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker. Fans of the sci-fi thriller genre can catch the film in theatres on November 11, 2016.
Amy Adams has been very busy lately, she is currently filming for the Warner Bros. Pictures blockbuster “Justice League,” where she will reprise her role as Lois Lane. The popular actor also wrapped her work on the film “Nocturnal Animals,” and is expected to star in the Disney follow-up film “Disenchanted”.
As for “Nocturnal Animals,” the film follows an art gallery owner is haunted by her ex-husband’s novel, a violent thriller she interprets as a veiled threat and a symbolic revenge tale. Tom Ford directed that film, and wrote the screenplay. The film is based on the novel that was written by Austin Wright called “Tony and Susan.” Joining Adams in that film are Jake Gyllenhaal and Armie Hammer. The film is set to release in theaters in December, but if you would like to read the book first you can, it’s an easy pickup for under $10 at popular sites like Amazon.com.
