Rick and Morty fans with VR equipment, prepare to be envied. Adult Swim has just started teasing the Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality. The new VR experience will allow players to touch and fondle the trinkets and inventions that Rick has lying about the garage. The studio teases, “Make horrible mistakes with dire consequences! The future is truly here (and it is deeply unsettling).”
The Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality was published by Adult Swim Games and developed by Owlchemy Labs, the two companies released a short teaser-trailer for the experience as well, which you can watch below. The experience will make its exclusive playable debut at San Diego Comic-Con this year, which we stated earlier will be filled with Adult Swim content this year.
Fans can escape the real world at Adult Swim on the Green July 21-24 from 11a.m.-6p.m. The activities there will be free and open to the public according to the network. If you are a fan of the show, and really everyone should be, you will want to watch out for the Rick and Morty panels this year. Of course everyone will want to know when season 3 is finally going to air, since the network has been keeping that secret for far too long.
It’s been a long wait since we last checked in with Rick, stuck alone after the season 2 finale cliffhanger. At least Adult Swim has given us R&M emojis, a ton of Instagram content and a few storyline teasers on social-media to hold us over until the season 3 premiere.
