Alessia Cara adds tour dates with new single and video
Alessia Cara released a new single this month called “Scars To Your Beautiful,” but that’s only part of the summer offerings that the singer will be bringing to fans over the next few months. Cara also announced the KNOW-IT-ALL Tour Part II, and she released a new video to go with the single as well. Cara has also partnered with the I AM THAT GIRL empowerment campaign, and fans can catch the artist on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ on July 19th. Cara will be debuting the first performance of “Scars To Your Beautiful” for fans on that night.
“The world sometimes tells us that we shouldn’t be happy with ourselves if we don’t fit certain standards of beauty,” says Alessia. “‘Scars To Your Beautiful’ is my reminder that beauty isn’t only one look, shape, size, or color. Beauty comes in all forms – tangible and intangible – inside and out. We need to recognize that.”
Alessia and I AM THAT GIRL are set to debut a new spot this week announcing their campaign centered around “the honest conversation about our physical and emotional scars, our struggles, and all the things we don’t normally talk about.” IATG will co-create a curriculum inspired by Alessia’s song, including a downloadable kit for IATG chapters, social activations, and live “Your Beautiful” events engaging both IATG chapters and Alessia’s fan communities.”
Aside from major festival bookings at Coachella, Glastonbury and Lollapalooza, Alessia has spent the summer as direct support for Coldplay’s A Head Full Of Dreams tour in Europe and the UK, and will continue on through the U.S. leg, starting July 16th at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey through September 3rd at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
Today, Alessia announces the KNOW-IT-ALL Tour Part II, her own solo headlining tour of the U.S., beginning September 29th at the Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD. The 21-city tour sees Alessia headlining her biggest rooms yet – with shows at prestigious venues including New York City’s famed Radio City Music Hall, Boston’s Orpheum Theatre, the Wiltern in Los Angeles, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach. (See tour dates below.) Supporting Alessia on the tour will be Nathan Sykes and Ruth B.
During the KNOW-IT-ALL Tour Part II, Alessia will be working with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation (RSF), whose broadcast media centers (Seacrest Studios) at pediatric hospitals in nearly a dozen locations are inspiring youth through entertainment and education-focused initiatives. She will visit several of the pediatric hospital-based RSF Seacrest Studios, and interact with and perform for patients.
