Amazon will be hosting a few surprises for fans this summer as the company promotes the launch of the upcoming “The Grand Tour Series.” In June Amazon will hold the first ever studio recording for the new Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May Amazon Original Series, taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa, later this month.
Amazon also announced that The Grand Tour will also host shows in the UK, U.S. and Germany. The studio portion of the program will travel to various cities around the globe and be filmed in front of a live audience, all housed within a giant tent. Further locations will be announced later this year.
In celebration of Prime Day, starting today, Amazon customers in the U.S. can enter The Grand Tour Prime Day Prize Draw for a chance to win a trip to attend a studio recording in the U.S., which is scheduled to take place in the fall. The prize includes travel, accommodation, $200 spending money and a meet and greet with Jeremy, Richard and James. Entry to The Grand Tour Prime Day Prize Draw is open until midnight on Prime Day (July 12).
The Grand Tour will launch this fall exclusively for Amazon Prime members. The exact city locations of the studio recordings will be revealed later this summer, along with details on how Amazon customers can secure additional audience tickets.
“Fans have been asking us where The Grand Tour will be filming and how they can attend. We’re delighted to announce today new studio locations in the UK, U.S. and Germany as we continue our plans to bring this anticipated Amazon Original Series to fans around the world,” said Jay Marine, VP of Amazon Video Europe. “The Grand Tour Prime Day Prize Draw opens today giving a chance for lucky customers to be the first to win tickets to join Jeremy, Richard and James in the studio. Good luck to all the fans!”
