Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama are the latest celebrity couple to call it quits this summer, though they do take the crown for having the longest relationship of the recent splits.
The former duo now join the growing ranks of the “ex-club,” along with Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris.
Lovato and Valderrama broke the news to their fans via Instagram, which seems to be the go-to network to both confirm a new relationship, and detach from one. The joint statement, which was just a screenshot of an Apple Note, appeared on both of the individuals’ respective Instagram accounts.
The soft-spoken recap of the events comes just days after it was confirmed that Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift broke up, but they weren’t the only ones that didn’t last. It was also reported this week that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik called it quits as well, but that couple did not confirm the split with their fans. You can read the Instagram post the two shared below.
While Swift and Harris’ relationship only lasted a little over a year, Lovato and Valderrama lasted over six-years together.
The heartbreak hotel added six new residents this week, though most of the new members probably won’t stay single for long.
