Alriiiiiight, Bob’s Burgers cookbook hits best-seller list
Fans of FOX’s animated hit “Bob’s Burgers” already know that Bob is a connoisseur of the beef-patty, but the show’s Bob’s Burgers Cookbook has reached a new milestone for the entire Belcher family.
The official cookbook of the series, perfectly titled “The Bob’s Burgers Burger Book: Real Recipes for Joke Burgers” has hit the New York Times Best-Seller list, the book had already been a “best seller” on sites like Amazon for the last few weeks.
The cookbook was written by Loren Bouchard, as well as the writers of Bob’s Burgers, with Cole Bowden working as a contributor. The book reached number 9 this week under the NYT popular “FOOD AND DIET” section.
The Bob’s Burgers Cookbook has been a popular gift since it was released and has frequently sold-out where available online. The book teaches cooks how to recreate the famous “gimmick burgers” (as Big Bob would say) that Bob Belcher creates in his restaurant.
If you’re looking to make your own “Burgers of the Day” for the Teddy in your life, there are seventy-five original, and easy to make, recipes within the pages.
The series has become a popular staple on FOX’s animation domination lineup, and new seasons are already in the works. The series won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 2014, and even has its own comic-book and original sound track album.
Recipes in the Bob’s Burgers Cookbook include the “Bleu is the Warmest Cheese Burger,” the “Bruschetta-Bout-It Burger,” and the “Shoot-Out at the OK-ra Corral Burger (comes with Fried Okra).” There is also the “Sweaty Palms Burger (comes with Hearts of Palm)” and the “I Know Why the Cajun Burger Sings Burger.”
The book is illustrated with art in the series’ easily recognized style as well. The official description reads, “The Bob’s Burgers Burger Book showcases the entire Belcher family as well as beloved characters including Teddy, Jimmy Pesto Jr., and Aunt Gayle. All recipes come from the fan-created and heavily followed blog The Bob’s Burger Experiment.”
