If you’re not an “outdoors” person the woods are terrifying enough, even without someone or something trying to kill you.

Lionsgate has released the first teaser-trailer for “The Woods,” one of the first horror-thrillers to be released this upcoming fall season. The film is scheduled to open-wide in September, but the teaser-trailer below offers a quick glimpse at what lies in store for moviegoers when they watch the film later this year.

The studio teases the film stating that it is, “One of the scariest movies in decades,” adding that the film, “reinvents horror with a completely fresh and terrifying take on the genre.” Yes, every horror-film gets the same credentials, but the teaser-trailer for “The Woods” might be enough to hook you into adding it to your list.

The story follows a group of college students that are out camping. It’s not long before their trip starts to go horribly wrong, and they begin to expect that they are not alone in the forest. The film was directed by Adam Wingard, working off a script written by Simon Barrett.

The film stars Callie Hernandez, James Allen McCune and Brandon Scott. Horror fans can catch “The Woods” when it releases in theaters on September 16, 2016.
