Eva Longoria helps celebrate 25 years of Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds
In an age when every pop-star on the market as their own line of fragrances, it’s easy to forget about the women that that spearheaded the celebrity-scent market. In that category, few will ever reach the branding power of Elizabeth Taylor’s “White Diamond” collection.
Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds collection is one of the most celebrated and successful fragrance franchises of all time, and this year the collection is celebration its 25th year. To kickoff the occasion, the company launched “White Diamonds Night,” a new fragrance.
“White Diamonds Night” was unveiled during an evening of celebration in New York City on April 5th, which honored Elizabeth Taylor’s vision and contribution to the beauty & fragrance industry. In attendance to help co-host and toast to Elizabeth Taylor and the new fragrance, was Actress, Activist, and Producer Eva Longoria.
“Elizabeth Taylor was a true visionary. She launched a successful fragrance empire at a time when celebrity fragrances were rare,” said Scott Beattie, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Elizabeth Arden. “It was because of this extraordinary foresight that Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds is one of the most successful franchises of all time with over $1.5 billion dollars in sales and counting.”
During the evening festivities, co-host Eva Longoria addressed guests saying, “I’m thrilled to help celebrate 25 years of this incredible fragrance. Elizabeth Taylor is a legendary icon and humanitarian and I’m honored to be part of this wonderful evening.” Longoria continued, “Diamonds are a rare and precious jewel as was Ms. Taylor. She exuded confidence and radiance in everything she did from her contributions to film, to her extraordinary work with The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation to her successful fragrances. She is one to admire.”

The fragrance imbues the wearer with sparkle and an aura of intrigue, creating a new and distinctly modern dimension of mystery and seduction.”
As part of Elizabeth Taylor’s passionate commitment and fearless leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS, she directed that a portion of her royalties from White Diamonds and her other House of Taylor fragrances go to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
