Freeform has officially announced that “Shadowhunters” will return for a second season. The new series has quickly become a ratings powerhouse for the network, landing a spot on the charts as the #2 series premiere in Freeform’s history (formerly ABC Family).

According to the network, Shadowhunters has amassed over 7.5 million long-form views, making it the network’s #2 series, the unstoppable teen-drama “Pretty Little Liars” currently ranks at number-one

Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.

“Shadowhunters” is produced by Constantin Film and executive produced by Ed Decter and McG. The series stars Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway and Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane.
