Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar released the first full-length trailer for “Finding Dory” this afternoon. The trailer was teased earlier this week, and made its official debut on the Ellen show earlier this morning.
“Finding Dory” will reunite everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory, with her friends Nemo and Marlin from the first film. The trio will set out on a search for answers about Dory’s past. Fans probably remember the one-off line from “Finding Nemo” when Dory remembers that she had a family, then quickly wonders where they were, and forgets about them a moment later. Classic Dory.
The film aims to answer some of the fans’ questions about Dory, including where she learned to speak Whale so fluently. The new film was directed by Andrew Stanton (“Finding Nemo,” “WALL•E”) and produced by Lindsey Collins (co-producer “WALL•E”).
“Finding Dory” will once again feature the voices of Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks. The film will also feature the voice-work of Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton. “Finding Dory” swims into theaters June 17, 2016.
