Lionsgate will release “Criminal” in theaters on April 15, 2016 featuring a wide-array of top-brand actors. The film circles a terrorist-plot and a missing person, with a little sci-fi science thrown into the mix as well.
Starring in the film are Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones and Gal Gadot. They will be joined by Alice Eve, Michael Pitt, Jordi Mollà, Antje Traue, Scott Adkins, Amaury Nolasco, Danny Webb and Colin Salmon. It’s a strange premise to host such a collection of serious dramatic actors. In the film the CIA needs to stop an international terrorist, so the memories and skills of a dead CIA agent are implanted into the brain of a dangerous criminal.
The new action-adventure film was directed by Ariel Vromen, working off a script co-written by Doug Cook and David Weisberg.
“Criminal” is the story of the right man in the wrong body. The idea is that a criminal with no remorse and no conscience would make a pretty great CIA operative if he was given all of the memories and skills of a lost operative. I guess we would have to see the movie to understand why the criminal in question gets all of the memories, skills and talents, but not the conscience or the morality of the former agent.
Summit Entertainment and Millennium Films present a Benderspink production and Millennium Films production and a Campbell Grobman Films production, a film by Ariel Vromen.
J.C. Spink, Jake Weiner, Matt O’Toole, Mark Gill and Christa Campbell produced the film for Lionsgate.
