Coming of age indie “About Scout” to release in theaters and VOD this March

It was announced today by Breaking Glass Pictures and Reel Red Films that the two company’s will partner for the release of the coming-of-age indie film ABOUT SCOUT.

The film comes from popular writer/director Laurie Weltz, “About Scout” stars India Ennenga (“Treme”) as the title character with James Frencheville (Animal Kingdom), Onata Aprile (What Maisie Knew), Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon), Nikki Reed (Twilight), Jane Seymour (“Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman”), and Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn (Requiem for a Dream).

Fans of the cast and director will be able to catch “ABOUT SCOUT” when it opens here in NYC this March. The film will also open in LA and Toronto the same day on March 11, 2016.

ABOUT SCOUT follows a rebellious, pink-haired girl named Scout who convinces a suicidal young man to go on a road trip with her across Texas. They set out to find Scout’s little sister who’s been taken by their estranged carnie father. ABOUT SCOUT made it’s world premiere at the 2015 Newport Beach Film Festival and has gone on to screen at Woodstock Film Festival, Rome Film Festival, and Savannah Film Festival.

If you don’t happen to live in one of the major cities listed above, you will still get a chance to watch the popular film. Breaking Glass Pictures will also release the film on March 11, 2016 through VOD services. ABOUT SCOUT will be available on iTunes, Amazon Instant, Vudu, Google Play, Xbox, and Cable VOD.
