David Bowie, the infinite legend, dies at 69
It was confirmed today that music-legend and artist David Bowie has passed-away. The death was announced by Mr. Bowie’s publicist, Steve Martin, stating that he died on Sunday and then later confirmed by Bowie’s family and friends.
The death brought to light that David Bowie had been fighting cancer for the last 18-months, this according to the official social-media accounts associated with Bowie.
“David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family,” a post on his Facebook page read. Bowie only recently celebrated his birthday just two days ago, garnering the praise from fan to celebrity.
Not only was David Bowie celebrating a birthday this month but the musician just released a new album as well. The latest album “Blackstar” had the famous frontman working with a jazz quintet and was only recently released. That final album was released this past Friday, to coincide with the artist’s birthday.
Fans, friends and colleagues were going to honor Bowie with a concert at Carnegie Hall on March 31, 2016.

David Bowie was married to model Iman, with whom he had a daughter, Alexandria Jones. Bowie and Iman were married for over twenty-years together. Bowie is also survived by his son Duncan Jones and by his first wife Mary Angela Barnett.
