Marvel releases “Secret Wars: The Story So Far” video recap ahead of issue 9

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is really just beginning on the big-screen, in the comics things are coming to their final conclusion. The “Secret Wars” storyline is one of the largest undertakings taking place within the Marvel Comic Universe in decades and if you need an introduction to the story (or just a few reminders) Marvel has them for you.

Marvel released a “Story So Far” video for fans of the comics, or if you are a movie fan and are just interested to see how things are shaping up in the comic-book genre, this can be your ticket into the biggest story ever.

Marvel teases fans stating, “It’s the story that has the whole world on the edge of its seat. The biggest Marvel event of all time. And this January – it all comes crashing down and births the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe.”

To get ready for this epic-event Marvel is presenting “SECRET WARS: THE STORY SO FAR,” which we have for you below. Marvel described the video stating, “In order to prepare for the cataclysmic and Battleworld-shaking chapter, recap the entire event now.” The short recap guide also features Marvel.com Host, Lorraine Cink.

Marvel also added a few questions that it plans to answer stating, “Battleworld teeters on the brink. Armies march against God Doom. What will become of this strange patchwork planet? Who lives? Who dies? One thing is for certain – nobody will come back from Battleworld the same.” That’s a lot of hype for sure but fans all around the world have been waiting months for the final issue to hit stands.

Those die-hard fans still have a few more days before they can read the final conclusion to the story, which will also serve as the “genesis” of the new Marvel Universe. SECRET WARS #9 will be on sale starting January 13, 2016.

As for SECRET WARS #9 itself, the story was written by Jonathan Hickman, with art by Esad Ribic. The cover was done by Alex Ross with alt covers by Simone Bianchi, Skottie Young, Sara Pichelli and Fred Hembeck.
