Mark Salling of Glee arrested for Child Porn possession

It was reported today that former “Glee” actor, Mark Salling, was arrested for possession of child pornography. Mark Salling played the role of Puck on the extremely popular FOX musical series, but has not released a statement at this time.

The arrest was made on Tuesday, though all of the details surrounding the charges have not been released. As it stands right now, Salling was first taken in by police earlier this morning. Salling was arrested at his home, he currently resides in Sunland, California. A few other outlets have also confirmed that the arrest had taken place at Salling’s home, including a recent report from TheWrap.

Salling reached stardom with his character Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Glee, though he hasn’t been in too much recently since FOX canceled the series.

A report from Crime Watch Daily was one of the first outlets to report the arrest this morning. The website had a few details that it had posted in the early hours. According to the website’s original report, it was the Los Angeles Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit that first served a search warrant to Salling at this home. It was shortly after that warrant was served that Salling was taken into custody.

Following the arrest the LAPD confirmed that a search warrant was issued for Salling’s residence, the police would not verify the reason for the warrant or the charges that were filed at this time. More information on the arrest, the charges brought against Salling and other relevant information will be released at a later time.
