FOX is backing teasing the studio’s highly anticipated superhero film “Deadpool”. The new trailer for the film was released over the holiday break, offering more merc-madness for fans to get excited over and featuring more of Ryan Reynold’s over-the-top action sequences.
The film won’t release in theaters until mid February but you can checkout the official red-band trailer below. The new installment is based upon Marvel Comics’ most popular anti-hero.
DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. The studio teases the film stating, “Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.”
The new action-comedy was directed by Tim Miller, working off a screenplay written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. “Deadpool” was produced by Simon Kinberg, Lauren Shuler Donner and Ryan Reynolds.
Joining Reynolds in the film are Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand. Fans can set a reminder to see “Deadpool” when the film hits theaters on February 12, 2015.
