LL Cool J returns to host the Grammy Awards 2016

One again, two-time GRAMMY Award Winner LL Cool J will return to host the Grammys. This will be the fifth time that LL Cool J will host the event, which will air Monday, February 15, 2016, live On CBS.

The event this year will take place at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, the Grammy’s begin at 8:00pm.

“The performances and moments that take place on the GRAMMY stage are awesome in so many ways for the audience and artists alike,” said LL COOL J. “I’m honored once again to host Music’s Biggest Night as we celebrate the talented music creators of today. It’s going to be an incredible night and I’m excited to share this experience with the world.”

Along with his two Grammy awards, LL Cool J is also an NAACP Image Award winner, entrepreneur and philanthropist. First introduced to the world in 1984 as a Def Jam Records flagship artist, LL is the first rap artist to amass 10 consecutive platinum-plus selling albums. LL will receive a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016 for his achievement in music. The multiplatinum artist and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee is currently tied for third place for most Billboard album chart debuts by a rapper.

As an actor, LL COOL J has successfully transitioned to one of the consistently highest rated shows on television. He currently stars in the CBS hit primetime drama series, “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and his performance on the show garnered him a NAACP Image Award four years in a row for his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna. Currently, LL hosts and produces the new hit show “Lip Sync Battle” on Spike TV, which will return for season two in January 2016. A dynamic host, LL has presided over 10 GRAMMY shows, tributes and specials, and served as a producer for “The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night” and “A Very GRAMMY Christmas.”
