Fans of “Broad City” will get a glimpse of another high-profile lady this year when Hillary Clinton joins the girls as a guest star in the third season. Comedy Central renewed the critically-acclaimed scripted series for a third season earlier this year, adding 10 episodes to the winter line-up. The show was created by Jacobson and Glazer, who executive produce along with Amy Poehler, 3 Arts’ Dave Becky, Sam Saifer and Tony Hernandez, and co-executive produced by Eric Slovin.
“Broad City” is an odd couple comedy about two best friends navigating their twenties in New York City whose adventures always lead down unexpected and outlandish paths. They’re broke, flawed and don’t shy away from the sticky situations NYC throws at them — they dive right into the muck. But no matter how bad it gets, these young broads are always down with whatever hits them.
Joining Jacobson and Glazer as series regulars are Hannibal Buress, Arturo Castro, Paul Downs, John Gemberling, Chris Gethard and Stephen Schneider. Guest stars during the second season include Bob Balaban, Aidy Bryant, Patricia Clarkson, Susie Essman, Janeane Garofalo, Kumail Nanjiani, Kelly Ripa, Seth Rogen, Amy Ryan, Alia Shawkat and David Wain.
The new season of “Broad City” is executive produced by Jacobson and Glazer, along with Amy Poehler, 3 Arts’ Dave Becky, Avalon’s Sam Saifer and Jax Media’s Tony Hernandez. Eric Slovin serves as Co-Executive Producer. Sarah Babineau is the Executive in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
