Prep your crew for Star Wars Episode VII with this Star Wars Saga collection

We are about a week away from the theatrical release of “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens,” the newest installment to the Star Wars franchise. It’s a film that is sure to break all of the box-office records in the known universe but before that, people all over the world are rewatching their favorite installments.

As we mentally prepare to see our favorite characters reunite on the big-screen, fans all around the world are reintroducing themselves to the franchise, and many of them are introducing some of their loved ones to the films for the first time.

According to Amazon, the site saw a more than 300% increase in purchasing the Star Wars Saga digital bundle on Amazon Video the week The Force Awakens tickets went on sale. This when compared to just one week prior.

When comparing the week before tickets went on sale (10/11 week) to last week (11/29 week), there has been more than a 400% increase in purchasing the bundle on Amazon Video. There’s an even bigger increase when you look at the week of Thanksgiving (11/22 week), when there was a more than a 550% increase in sales of the digital bundle. This compared to the week ahead of tickets going on sale (10/11 week).

In addition to the strong digital demand for Star Wars, Amazon also told us they seeing a lot of interest in Star Wars products from across Amazon. In a statement Amazon explained that the LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker Building Kit, Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Game, and LEGO Star Wars First Order Transporter Building Kit are some of the most popular Star Wars toys available and people can’t seem to get enough of them. Add that to the Star Wars collections, video games and collectables and the franchise is once again taking over pop-culture as we know it.

The complete Star Wars saga made its digital debut in April 2015, with all six Episodes available to watch via the Amazon Video app on TVs, connected devices and mobile devices or online at amazon.com/amazonvideo. It’s also available on Blu-Ray if you don’t want to go the digital route.

In addition, the new release movie Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens will be available for digital pre-order on Amazon Video starting December 18, the same day it releases in theatres.
