Warner Bros. Pictures has released a Red-Band trailer for the upcoming mystery-thriller “The Nice Guys,” starring Ryan Gosling, and Russell Crowe.

The film takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.

The film was directed by Shane Black, working off a script that he co-wrote with Anthony Bagarozzi. Joining Crowe and Gosling in the film are Kim Basinger, Rachele Brooke Smith, Lexi Johnson and Ty Simpkins.

While the trailer hints at a pretty fantastic crime-drama, fans of the duo will have to wait a few more months before it hits theaters. “The Nice Guys” is scheduled for release in theaters on May 20, 2016, and will be distributed in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. Before then you can imagine that Warner Bros. Pictures will release a few more clips from the film before the big summer release date.
