Amazon extends Nintendo Wii U 32GB Mario Kart 8 bundle for $249 sale

What was expected to be a one-day sale has turned into a slightly longer promotion on Amazon this year. The Nintendo Wii U 32GB Mario Kart 8 Deluxe set is still only $249 right now on the popular retailer. Normally $299, the Nintendo Wii U 32GB Mario Kart 8 set is $50 off if you can grab the deal while it is still going on.

The promotion offers a pretty great deal on the Wii U, offering a Deluxe Wii U with 32 GB Internal Storage, the Wii U Game Pad, a Game Pad Stylus, the Sensor Bar, a Wii U Console AC Adapter, the Wii U GamePad AC adapter, a free HDMI cable, the Wii U Game Pad Stand, a Wii U Game Pad Cradle and Wii U Console Stand.

Outside of the hardware, the bundle includes Mario Kart 8 pre-installed. You won’t need the physical disc, instead you will have one of this year’s best games loaded and ready to go when you setup up your Wii U on the holidays. The bundle also includes a Nintendo eShop download card for 2 packs of bonus DLC. That DLC includes a lot of free goodies, including 6 new characters, 8 new vehicles and 16 new tracks to download.

The $50 off promotion seems to be doing well for console makers. Microsoft has cut $50 off older Xbox One bundles for a limited time, offering Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle and FIFA bundles with a savings of up to $50. These are for the 500GB models, since the new 1TB models are now shipping out all over the world.

Sony did the same for the 500GB Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Bundle. That bundle is expected to go back on sale at $299 but this weekend, or you can shop the current promotion and get more free games at the $349 price-point. The higher price with the free game might be a safer bet in the long run, since the bundle has sold out in the past at the $299 price-point. You can try your luck this weekend if you rather go with the $299 model.
