Luke Bryan, Demi Lovato join New Year’s Rockin’ Eve performances

Luke Bryan, Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth, and Demi Lovato will join Carrie Underwood live in Times Square as part of ABC’s telecast of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2016.

Luke Bryan will perform a medley of his hit songs; Demi Lovato will perform “Confident” and “Cool for the Summer” off her new album, Confident; and Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth will perform their smash hit “See You Again.”

Each performance will take place in the hours leading up to the 2016 countdown, performing for over 1 million fans live in Times Square, and millions more on TV. They join previously announced performers One Direction, who will headline the Billboard Hollywood Party in Los Angeles.

With over 38 performances and 5 ½ hours of music, America’s biggest celebration of the year will take place on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31 (8 p.m. – 2:13 a.m., ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network.

The show will include hours of special performances and reports on New Year’s celebrations from around the globe. Ryan Seacrest will host and lead the traditional countdown to midnight from Times Square in New York City as he has for the last 10 years with live reporting from actress and comedian Jenny McCarthy. Pop star Fergie will oversee the festivities at the Billboard Hollywood Party in Los Angeles.

Luke Bryan has placed 14 singles at #1 and sold nearly 8 million albums with 30 million digital tracks from his five studio albums. He has twice been named Entertainer of the Year by both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. Luke’s new album, Kill The Lights, recently debuted at #1 on both theBillboardTop 200and Top CountryAlbumscharts. This is Luke’s third-consecutive album to debut at #1 on the BillboardTop 200. It has entered the history books as one of the decade’s biggest singles, topped Billboard’s “Hot 100” for a stunning 12 weeks, hit No. 1 on the iTunes Store’s Top Songs chart in a remarkable 101 countries, and shattered Spotify records by becoming the most streamed track ever in a single day (with 3.18 million global streams on April 8th alone) and in a single week (a stunning 21.9 million worldwide streams).
