Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures have an early Holiday treat for fans. The studios are promoting their fifth fully-animated feature-film collaboration “The Secret Life of Pets,” a comedy about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day.

The film has a gigantic cast behind it, including comedy superstars Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin Hart making their animated feature-film debuts.

“The Secret Life of Pets” also co-stars Steve Coogan, Ellie Kemper, Bobby Moynihan, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress, Jenny Slate and Albert Brooks.  Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy produce the film directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me, Despicable Me 2), co-directed by Yarrow Cheney and written by Brian Lynch and Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio.

The holiday video features the pet-honored tradition of pet-themed holiday cards. The video introduces the animated cast of the movie as their human friends try and get them to pose for the camera. There isn’t any dialogue from the cast featured in the teaser-trailer but you do leave with a sense of holiday cheer. If you love the rendition of Winter Wonderland that is playing in the background, the cover comes from Pentatonix, featuring Tori Kelly. If you just want to watch their video again to get you into the holiday spirit, you can do so on their official YouTube channel here. From the pet perspective though, this video could also be a PSA not to make your cat or dog wear a holiday sweater and take pictures all day. They look so adorable though, we won’t blame you if you send out another holiday card with you and your Pug wearing matching sweaters again this year.

As for THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS, that film is scheduled to hit theaters this summer on July 8, 2016.
