Amazon is expanding it’s Amazon Prime Photos unlimited photo storage to Prime members direct family or partner this week. Starting today, Prime members can share the Prime Photos benefit with an additional adult household member, and each adult member will receive their own account for free, unlimited photo storage, plus 5 GB of additional storage for videos and other files.

This expansion is through the Amazon Households program, which also allows households to create a shared library of ebooks, audiobooks, apps and games across all of Amazon devices and media apps, in addition to sharing shipping benefits and more.

Amazon talked about the new service expansion stating, “Prime Photos, provides free unlimited photo storage, plus 5 GB of additional storage for videos and other files in Amazon Cloud Drive for the lifetime of birthdays, vacations, holidays, and everyday moments stored across numerous devices. Prime members can securely store their existing photo collections, automatically upload new photos taken and access them anytime, anywhere, at no cost.”

Prime members who have already created a household account with another adult, can automatically begin using the new Prime Photos household benefit. Prime members who have not created a household account, can go to amazon.com/myh/households to log on and get started.
