After the incredible season finale last year, the #PLL Army should be very excited to see their favorite series returning to primetime. It’s been a long wait but the season premiere is just around the corner and ABC Family will start things off with a special-event.
When the show returns this season, things will be a little different and the cast and crew of the show are going to ease fans into the change with a pre-premiere party called “Five Years Forward.”
ABC Family confirmed the premiere date for the special-event, which will air in advance of the celebrated return of the original series “Pretty Little Liars.” The special will feature a wide-array of returning cast and crew members, all sitting down to discuss the series time jump with the event called “Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward.” The series will be a one-hour, behind-the-scenes special airing Tuesday, November 24 at 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
To give viewers a taste of what’s to come, the special episode will reveal what the Liars have been up to inside and outside of Rosewood over the past five years. In addition to featuring conversations surrounding new careers and love interests, the episode will feature interviews with the team behind the Liars’ new looks. Fans will also be offered a glimpse at brand-new PLL sets and two new scenes that won’t be seen anywhere else. Plus, the PLL moms speculate about what happened to their characters after getting locked in the basement.
“Pretty Little Liars” is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive-produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein and Joseph Dougherty. The series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Tyler Blackburn, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Shay Mitchell, Janel Parrish and Sasha Pieterse.
“Pretty Little Liars” premieres January 12 at 8/7c on Freeform, the new name for ABC Family
