First Finding Dory trailer has favorite blue tang searching for her family

Walt Disney and Pixar have released the first trailer for “Finding Dory,” the sequel to the popular animated film “Finding Nemo” starring Ellen DeGeneres. Once again the popular daytime talkshow host will voice the lovable (and forgetful) blue tang in a new installment to the growing franchise.

The last time we checked in with “Finding Dory” was when Disney introduced a few stills from the film at the D23 EXPO. DeGeneres attended the event, as did Ed O’Neill (“Modern Family”), who will also star in the film as the voice of Hank the octopus.

Also joining Ed On’Neill from Modern Family will be Ty Burrell as the voice of Bailey the beluga whale. Kaitlin Olson (“Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) will voice the role of Destiny, a kind-hearted whale shark. Oscar-winning director Andrew Stanton (“Finding Nemo,” “WALL•E”), co-director Angus MacLane and producer Lindsey Collins (co- producer “WALL•E”) also attended the D23 event.

In the film Dory will take center-stage, setting off on her own adventure to find her family. The dilm will reunite Dory with friends Nemo and Marlin, who will help her as searches for answers about her past. Albert Brooks, Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy will also voice characters in the film.

“Finding Dory” swims into theaters June 17, 2016.
