Justin Timberlake headed to CMA Awards this year with Chris Stapleton
Pop and country music can work really well together, just ask Taylor Swift and she will tell you all about it. ABC confirmed that at this year’s “49th Annual CMA Awards” fans will catch a collaboration between three-time nominee Chris Stapleton and special guest award winning musician and actor Justin Timberlake. The new was confirmed today on ABC’s Good Morning America.
Stapleton will be appearing as a guest Wednesday morning on GMA in anticipation of “The 49th Annual CMA Awards.”
Celebrating his first nominations, Stapleton is a contender in three CMA Awards categories: Male Vocalist, New Artist, and Album of the Year for Traveller, which he co-produced with Dave Cobb.
Hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, “The 49th Annual CMA Awards” airs live WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Leading up to “The 49th Annual CMA Awards” on Wednesday, Nov. 4, ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” will pave the road to the CMA Awards by welcoming some of the genre’s most notable stars. The lineup includes performances from Brett Eldredge, Kip Moore, Chris Young, as well as 2015 CMA nominees Kelsea Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and more.
