ABC adds Monica the Medium season 2 to 2016 schedule

Good news for the fans of one ABC Family’s new reality series, the network announced today a second season of “Monica the Medium” will appear in 2016. Monica the Medium season 2 will be produced by Dave Caplan’s Trooper Entertainment in association with Lionsgate TV. The first season finale, where Monica does her first group reading with mothers who have lost their children, airs tomorrow Tuesday, October 27th at 8:00PM ET/PT on ABC Family. ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016.

“Monica has changed lives for the better and given comfort and closure to family members while exploring her unique ability,” said Karey Burke, Executive Vice President Programming and Development, ABC Family. “She connects as well with our audience as she does with Spirit.”

Jennifer O’Connell, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, Lionsgate Television said, “Together with our marvelous partners at ABC Family, we remain fascinated, charmed and proud of Monica, her friends and family as they continue to reveal both the everyday and the extraordinary moments of their lives with audiences. As Lionsgate continues to build its presence in unscripted programming, this is one of the shows leading the way.”

Executive-produced by Caplan, alongside Malachi McGlone, “Monica the Medium” follows Monica, a college student navigating friends, family, relationships — and the fact that she’s a medium and can talk to dead people. Her uncommon vocation provides an endless supply of emotional and engaging stories, with a unique millennial perspective.
