STARZ Play hits Android TV Devices, including NVIDIA Shield and Kindle Fire TV

Stars announced today that STARZ PLAY has launched on several Android TV-powered devices including Google Nexus Player, NVIDIA SHIELD and Sony TVs powered by Android TV. STARZ subscribers may now watch exclusive STARZ Original series including “Blunt Talk,” “Survivor’s Remorse,” and the upcoming premiere of “Ash vs Evil Dead” on October 31, as well as hundreds of movies and first-run films on select Android TV devices.

The launch marks STARZ PLAY’s most recent successful deployment for the STARZ TV Everywhere service and another extension that brings the popular app and experience directly to the television, offering viewing flexibility for its subscribers.

STARZ PLAY, available to select Android TV device customers as an authenticated TV Everywhere service for STARZ premium subscribers, offers exclusive STARZ Original series including “Survivor’s Remorse,” “Blunt Talk,” and “Outlander,” among others; as well as first-run films from Disney (Big Hero 6, Maleficent, Into the Woods, Muppets Most Wanted); Sony Pictures (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Equalizer, The Wedding Ringer, Fury, Annie); and other Hollywood studios.

STARZ PLAY device support is available on a wide array of platforms for displays big and small including Samsung Smart TVs, the Roku Platform, Amazon Fire TV & Fire TV Stick, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Chromecast for TV viewing, PCs/Macs, and personal devices including iPhone, iPad & iPod touch and several Android handsets, tablets and other platforms including Fire HD tablets, NOOK HD, NOOK HD+ and select Google Nexus devices including the Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10.
