Joy Trailer, Jennifer Lawrence stars as a woman on a mission for success

Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro are teaming up again in a new film from director David O. Russell called “Joy”. The film is the incredible story of a family stretched across four generations. At the center of the film is Joy, played by Jennifer Lawrence, the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. The studio released the second trailer for the film earlier today, which you can watch below.

The studio teases the film stating, “Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce.” FOX continues, “Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy’s inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces.”

Joining Lawrence De Niro and Cooper in the film are Edgar Ramirez, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, and Virginia Madsen. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, Joy defies genre to tell a story of family, loyalty, and love.

“Joy” is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2015.
