This week Universal Pictures premiered the studio’s latest thriller-horror “Crimson Peak,” and among the cast and crew that attended the event were Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastainn and Mia Wasikowska.

The three actors spoke briefly about the new film, which was directed by famed horror-thriller specialist Guillermo del Toro. Joining Hiddleston, Chastain and Wasikowska in the film are Charlie Hunnam and Jim Beaver. Hiddleston rose to fame after taking the role of villain Loki in the Avengers films but since then has secured roles in highly anticipated films like “Kong: Skull Island” and the Hank Williams Jr biopic “I Saw the Light.” Chasten recently finished shooting a new film with actors Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron called “The Huntsman.” That film will be a long-overdue followup to the 2012 hit “Snow White and the Huntsman” and will hit theaters in April 2016.

The story follows a young woman, who falls in love with stage and seclusive young-man that lives in a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay. The studio teases that the home is, “filied with secrets that will haunt her forever,” and adds “between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak.”

The film was produced by Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Guillermo del Toro and Callum Greene. Jillian Share served as the Executive Producer on the film.
