Star Wars Battlefront extends beta, details season pass and Ultimate Edition

EA and DICE have outlined the details for the extended BETA program currently taking place on multiple platforms, as well as outlined the new season pass that will be offered to players when the game ships.

In a post directed to BETA players DICE stated that the crew has decided to extend the Beta and Companion experience, “for one more day”. The special BETA period will now end on Tuesday, October 13th. “Another day of Beta and Companion will not only give you more time to play, but also let us analyze a few more aspects of Star Wars Battlefront and perform further technical tests. Enjoy your extended time and don’t hesitate to contact us with your feedback and thoughts,” the post reads.

As for the season pass, the the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass will consist of four expansion packs that are set to launch at “a later date”. The developers stated that these DLC packs will be, “filled with new content that will take you to new locations across a galaxy far, far away.” Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass owners will also “secure two-week early access to each expansion pack” and will have exclusive “Shoot First” emote.

The devs didn’t stop there, on-top of the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass announcement DICE also confirmed a Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition. This new edition includes “all the content available in the Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition as well as the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass.” There is also a DELUXE EDITION and a STANDARD EDITION available on multiple platforms.

Star Wars Battlefront is just a few weeks away at this point. EA and DICE will release Star Wars: Battlefront on PS4, Xbox One and on PC through EA’s Origin service on November 17, 2015. Until then you can play the BETA for another day and try your best to stop those walkers.
