The next Warner Bros. Pictures film set within the DC Universe has found a director. The studio has chosen Seth Grahame-Smith to direct DC’s famous Crimson Crusader when the film enters into production next year.
“The Flash” project already has a release date, Warner Bros. Studios set a premiere dat for March 3, 2018. Based on the popular DC Comics superhero, the lead-actor has also been announced, but it won’t be our TV hero.
Playing the role of Barry Allen a.k.a. “The Flash” will be Ezra Miller, a different actor than the one that plays the same role on the popular CW series “The Flash”.
According to earlier reports, fans will first meet the Flash when they watch Zack Snyder‘s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” starting on March 26, 2015.
Producing the film is Charles Roven, Deborah and Zack Snyder have been added as executive producers. While fans might have hoped that Grant Gustin would also star in the movie, Gustin will be playing the popular character only in the TV series for now.
Fans might know Grahame-Smith best from his work on “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” released back in 2012 and from “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”. “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” was based on his book series of the same name and Grahame-Smith earned writing and executive producer credits on the film.
“The Flash” will be Grahame-Smith’s feature directorial debut, but fans will first see his work on the “Lego Batman Movie,” a film that he is writing the screenplay for.
