Netflix will offer How To Get Away With Murder season 1
Fans of “How To Get Away With Murder” are probably pretty excited to see the second season premiere on Thursday, September 24, but soon they will have another way to re-watch the entire first season.
“How To Get Away With Murder,” Netflix, Inc. and ABC today announced a fully global agreement making Netflix the exclusive worldwide streaming home of the first season of the hit drama. Season one episodes of the series will arrive in the U.S., Canada and Latin America on September 18, and all remaining and future territories beginning in Q4 2015 or 2016.
“Netflix is dedicated to bringing great entertainment to our members around the world, in both current and future markets,” said Sean Carey, Vice President of Global TV at Netflix. “We’re excited to offer global audiences season one of “How To Get Away With Murder,” offering members a chance to discover it for the first time or relive the drama of season one before the new season’s premiere.”
“‘How To Get Away With Murder’ is ABC’s highest rated new series from the 2014/15 season,” said Janice Marinelli, President, Disney-ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution. “This agreement to make our season one episodes available underscores the value of this series, and reinforces the overall popularity of ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ on ABC and its other first-run platforms around the world.”
In season-one we met the brilliant Annalise Keating, who gets entangled with four law students from her class “How to Get Away with Murder.” Little do they know that they will have to apply what they learned to real life, in this masterful, sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller.
“How to Get Away with Murder” stars Academy Award-Nominee Viola Davis as Professor Annalise Keating, Billy Brown as Nate, Alfred Enoch as Wes, Jack Falahee as Connor, Katie Findlay as Rebecca, Aja Naomi King as Michaela, Matt McGorry as Asher, Karla Souza as Laurel, Charlie Weber as Frank and Liza Weil as Bonnie. Davis was nominated for the 2015 Best Actress in a Drama Emmy for her portrayal of Keating.
“How to Get Away with Murder” is created and executive-produced by Pete Nowalk (“Scandal,” “Grey’s Anatomy”).
