I Smile Back trailer highlights Sarah Silverman’s amazing dramatic performance

Earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival critics and moviegoers fell in love with Sarah Silverman’s stunning dramatic performance in “I Smile Back”. The film is back this week at the Toronto International Film Festival, offering fans in the area another chance to catch the film before its October release.

In the film we meet Laney (played by Sarah Silverman) an attractive, intelligent suburban wife and devoted mother of two children.

Lane is married to her husband (played by Josh Charles), with the American standards of a new car, house and daily activities surrounding her children and seemingly happy life. However, just beneath the façade lie depression and disillusionment that send her careening into a secret world of reckless compulsion.

Only very real danger will force her to face the painful root of her destructiveness and its crumbling effect on those she loves. Now, with the destruction of her family looming and temptation everywhere, Laney makes one last desperate attempt at redemption.

I Smile Back is a film directed by Adam Salky, starring Sarah Silverman, Josh Charles, Thomas Sadoski, Mia Barron, Terry Kinney and Chris Sarandon. I Smile Back is written by Paige Dylan and Amy Koppelman and based on the book by Koppelman.

The film is produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, Mike Harrop and Richard Arlook. The executive producers are Skip Klintworth, Christian Angermayer and Jens Meurer.
