Game of Thrones season 6 adds Babadook star Essie Davis
A lot of great characters have been killed off in Game of Thrones in the past two-years, so as should expect, the series will have to add a lot more to compensate. With that in mind you can add another name to the growing cast of “Game of Thrones” season six and this one should be a crowd favorite.
The latest addition reported this year is Essie Davis, coming off her popular role in the horror-film “The Babadook”.
Fans might also remember the Australian actress from her role in the follow-up Matrix films though her horror-hit, which released last year, is what really put back her on the map. That film was written and directed by Jennifer Kent and starred Davis, Noah Wiseman and Daniel Henshall.
HBO hasn’t officially revealed Davis’ role at this point, but early reports indicate that she will play an actor portraying Cersei Lannister in a play called “The Bloody Hand”.
Davis is one of many new cast-members that will be joining the popular fantasy series. Also added this year are Ian McShane, Pilou Asbæk and Freddie Stroma.
More casting news and other non-spoiler news from the popular series is expected to be released by HBO as we approach the official 2016 premiere date.
