Focus Features has released the first full-length trailer for “The Danish Girl,” the highly-anticipated biography/Drama set to release later this year.

The film is one of earliest to head into awards season with multiple-Oscar winning buzz surrounding it, and could allow Eddie Redmayne to join a very short list of actors to win back-to-back Oscars. Eddie Redmayne won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a leading role for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in “The Theory of Everything” last year. “The Danish Girl” will hit theaters on November 27, 2015.

The film tells the remarkable love story inspired by the lives of artists Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. Lili and Gerda’s marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili’s groundbreaking journey as a transgender pioneer.

The film was directed by Tom Hooper, working off a screenplay written by Lucinda Coxon. The film itself is based on an extremely popular novel of the same name written by David Ebershoff.

The film stars Alicia Vikander, Eddie Redmayne and Amber Heard.
