Taylor Swift Wildest Dreams video enlists Scott Eastwood
Taylor Swift has the pick of the litter when casting her music-videos and the pop-star has chosen one of Hollywood’s dreamiest actors to star in her upcoming “Wildest Dreams” video.
It was only yesterday that Taylor Swift released a preview clip from her “Wildest Dreams” music video, set to debut and most likely conquer the video-charts later this month. The clip simply showed a close-up of an eye and a few split-second scenes of the video when it was released on Sunday, but new details have emerged that should get Swifties excited for more footage (more so than they already were of course).
This will be the fifth single off Swift’s debut pop album, called 1989. The clip shows Swift and actor Scott Eastwood in a loving embrace.
Many fans were introduced to Scott Eastwood, son of Clint Eastwood, when he took the lead in the recent film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ romantic novel “The Longest Ride.” That film debuted earlier this spring to mixed reviews but did fairly well in its debut weekend.
Swift has had quite a knack for picking gorgeous co-stars in her videos, starting with Clayton Collins in her “Tim McGraw” video. Tyler Hilton took the “Teardrops on My Guitar” installment and the list just kept getting better.
Later in her career Swift had Justin Sandy in “Picture to Burn” and Justin Gaston in “Love Story”. Swift was then paired with Stephen Colletti in “White Horse”, Lucas Till in “You Belong With Me” and Toby Hemingway in “Mine”.
More recent co-stars include Guntars Asmanis in “Back to December”, Zach Gilford in “Ours”, Noah Mills in “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, Reeve Carney in “I Knew You Were Trouble” and Sean O’Pry in the extremely popular “Blank Space” video. Popular actor Dominic Sherwood took the role of love-interest in Swift’s “Style” video.
Last year Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video premiered during the Billboard Music Awards, an event that took place back in May. Now Swift promised to debut “Wildest Dreams” during the VMAs and social-media exploded with the announcement. Swift teased the video with “Get ready. #WildestDreamsMusicVideo.”
Joseph Kahn, the same director that created Swift’s “Blank Space” and “Bad Blood” music-videos directed “Wildest Dreams”. The MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday at 9 p.m. and Swift is in the lead with nine nominations.
