Late Show with Stephen Colbert: Scarlett Johansson, Amy Schumer among first week guests

We are approaching the final few weeks before the big debut of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and CBS has outlined the first week of guests that will stop by after the premiere.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premieres with a week full of guests who span the worlds of film, politics, business and music beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The network announced earlier in the summer that first guests appearing on the show, on Sept. 8, will be Academy Award winner George Clooney, Republican Presidential candidate and former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush. They will be joined by a musical performance by THE LATE SHOW’s bandleader Jon Batiste and his band Stay Human. CBS also teased that a few “special guests” will also show up for the big event.

Today CBS introduced a few more famous names that will be stopping by during THE LATE SHOW’s inaugural week. Colbert will also welcome Scarlett Johansson, Amy Schumer, Stephen King, Tesla Motors and Space X CEO Elon Musk and Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. In addition, the show will feature musical performances by GRAMMY Award-winning artists Kendrick Lamar and Toby Keith, as well as Troubled Waters.

The list so far includes the Tuesday, Sept. 8 premiere, that again will feature Actor George Clooney; Republican Presidential candidate Jeb Bush; musical performance by Jon Batiste and Stay Human with special guests.

The following day on Wednesday, Sept. 9,popular actress Scarlett Johansson will be joined by SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk. There will also be an interview with and musical performance by Kendrick Lamar.

On Thursday, Sept. 10, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick will stop by the show. There will also be a musical performance by Toby Keith.

Closing out the week on Friday, Sept. 11 will be comedian Amy Schumer and horror-author Stephen King. Fans can also look forward to an interview with and musical performance by Troubled Waters.

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, a production of The Late Show Inc., will be broadcast weeknights (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Stephen Colbert, Tom Purcell and Meredith Bennett are the executive producers.
