One Direction is breaking up, for now at least

There’s some sobering news for tweens, super-fans and Directioners across the globe this evening coming from the United Kingdom, but it’s not as bad as many sites are reporting. According to early reports, supergroup ‘One Direction’ is putting their band’s record-breaking collaborations on hold, at least for now.

According to today’s reports, which surfaced on the internet earlier this morning, the pop-superstars are going solo. Since the initial reports were released in the U.K. this morning, it appears that some of the headlines are turning out to be true , but it’s not as bad as it may seem.

The UK Sun was one of the first publications to report on the sudden split of the remaining band members, but many fans on social-media took the news with a grain of salt when the headline. After all, this wasn’t the first time that news sites like the UK Sun had announced that the band was breaking-up and it probably won’t be the last time either. Still, there was some truth to the headline this time around.

After news of the breakup travelled west, across the pond to E! News, the network stated that Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne are in fact parting ways, but the breakup isn’t a permanent separation for the crew at this time.

Still, news of the temporarily separation could be a bitter pill for ‘Directioners’ to swallow, many of the group’s fans are still getting over Zayn Malik’s decision to leave the group earlier this year.

As of right now the group’s separation is more of a hiatus, one that will allow the member’s of the band to branch-out and focus on solo-work or pet projects that they normally wouldn’t have time to do with One Direction’s non-stop marketing and touring campaigns. A source with the news site stated that the band “will remain together and plan to work together in the future.”
