Capcom confirms Resident Evil 2 remake with video to fans
Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi released a video this morning confirming the long-awaited remake of “Resident Evil 2.” Fans around the world have been collectively asking Capcom to remake the popular installment for the past few years and soon they will get their wish.
Yoshiaki Hirabyashi tells fans,“It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have pushed the project to get approved. The team here at Capcom Japan really appreciates fans’ passion and support and will do our best to bring fans what they really want.”
While Capcom did confirm that the new title will go into development, the publisher stopped short of supplying any details from the game. Capcom is already gearing up to release the “Resident Evil 0 HD,” that remaster is set to launch next year.
This means that Capcom will be releasing RE1 and RE2, a combo-pack would probably be the best bet for fans, but more information on the release dates and pricing of the games won’t be released for a few months.
