Pretty Little Liars find out who A is during Summer Series finale tonight

Pretty Little Liars finale

Tonight is the night we’ve been waiting for. After six seasons of teases, clues and red herrings, ABC Family is finally ready to drop the A-bomb. The #PLL army will finally come fAce-to-fAce with the infamous “A” on tonight’s summer season finale.

While the season finale is just moments away, ABC Family is teasing the event at Television Critics’ Association at this week’s event. Series star Shay Mitchell and the series creator Marlene King were on hand to discuss the finale, promising that fans will finally “find out who ‘A’ is toward the beginning of the episode.”

That’s not all #PLLs, that’s the just the beginning of tonight’s storyline. The rest of the episode will dive into the dark motive that drove “A” to torture our favorite girls over these past few years.

During the event, the creators teased answers but didn’t talk about the show’s many secrets. There is another bit of mystery that could be unveiled tonight as well. Those mysteries involve the identity of the Red Coat, the identity of the person that killed Toby’s mother and the Black Widow. Don’t forget about Bethany, her murder is still unsolved as well.

Fans will get the answer to A at the beginning of the episode, and TWITTER might explode once it goes out. Once everything is out in the open, the #PLL will be leaving Rosewood behind.

The reason for leaving is that the series will then jump into the future, five-years into the future to be exact. When the second half of the season comes back after the break, we will continue the five-year starting point that begins tonight.

In five years, we will pick-up with the Liars after they had gone their separate ways. The show’s creators teased that an “event” brings them back together but didn’t divulge the secret. ABC teased that the girls will come back “slightly different” then when they left each other, but stopped short of spilling details.

The official teaser for the episode reads, ” “A” is revealed, and all of the questions are answered, in “Game Over Charles,” Who killed Toby’s mother? Who hit Alison in the head with the rock the night she went missing? Who is Red Coat? Who killed Bethany? Who is the Black Widow? Why has “A” been targeting the PLLs all this time? After years of torture, Alison, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer finally come face-to-face with their tormentor and learn the story of how and why Charles became “A.”

Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein and Joseph Dougherty.
