Many say its the end of the era and it will certainly be a tough series to say farewell to for Comedy Central, but Jon Stewart has left the Daily Show. We said goodbye to “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” this week, but now you have all the time in the world to read the books that his guests have been promoting on each episode.

For the rest of the day you can save up to 80%, that’s a pretty amazing promotion, on over 50 Kindle books from popular authors that have been on Jon Stewart’s show.

Authors range from J.K. Rowling to Neil deGrasse Tyson, and you can find their latest novels (as well as the other guests that have hit the “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” studio) on Amazon’s official site.

There are some pretty terrific reads that come highly recommended. “I Must Say: My Life As a Humble Comedy Legend” by Martin Short is only $1.99 today, so is “Havana Nocturne” by T.J. English. Mike Huckabee’s book “God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy” is priced at $3.99 for the rest of day and “Missing Microbes: How the Overuse of Antibiotics Is Fueling Our Modern Plagues” by Martin J., MD Blaser is only $2.99.

If those don’t interest you, try “The Book of Mormon Girl: A Memoir of an American Faith” by Joanna Brooks, “The Casual Vacancy” by J.K. Rowling, or “Rosewater” (Movie Tie-in Edition) by Maziar Baha.

You can find all of these great reads and a dozen or so other lightning deals on Amazon’s official promotional page. You will have to act fast though, the flash-sale is expected to run today-only as part of Amazon’s celebration of Jon Stewart’s final show on the Daily Show.
