Motorola launches the Moto G, Moto X Play and Moto X Style

Motorola announced the new Moto G and Moto X this week, offering upgraded cameras, improved software and a wide-array of personalization options. Outfitted with IPX7-rated protection and Corning Gorilla Glass, the phone is protected by water and display scratches making it, “the phone that’s always there for you”.

The company also stated that the Moto X Play will offer users up to 48-hour battery life, also outfitted with a water-repellent design and a 21 megapixel camera. The Moto X Play offers a 5.5-inch HD display running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The Moto X Style offers a larger 5.7-inch display and stereo sound. Motorola called the Moto X the, “world’s fastest charging smartphone” offering 10 hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging with the TurboPower feature. The Moto X Style offers a 21-megapixel camera with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, outfitted with a wide angle lens and selfie flash.

In the US the device will be able to run on any US carrier. Additionally, buying directly from Motorola will offer a streamlined version of Android without bloatware, when compared to buying the phone from a national carrier.

The Moto G launch will hit 60 countries, including North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific starting today. The Moto X Play will be available starting in August in various countries across Europe, Latin America and Canada but not in the US. The Moto X Style will be available in countries across Europe, Latin America and North America starting in September.
