Bobbi Kristina Brown dies at 22
Earlier today in an Atlanta-area hospice, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away at the age of 22. “Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family,” the Houston family said in a statement released to the press today.
“She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
Bobbi Kristina Brown was reported brain-dead earlier this year, since then she has been surviving through external measures.
The daughter of singers Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in a bathtub on January 31, 2015 at home in Atlanta . Bobbi Kristina Brown was eventually moved Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. Bobbi Kristina was found by her partner at the time, Nick Gordon. Bobbi Kristina was put in a medically induced coma shortly after, though she never regained consciousness after being found.
It was there that Bobbi Kristina Brown was taken off of life-support.
Many of the circumstances surrounding Bobbi Kristina’s death resembled the late Whitney Houston’s death. The mother and the daughter were found in those circumstances almost exactly three years apart. Whitney Houston was also found in a bathtub, though she was pronounced dead at the scene, one day before the Grammy awards back on February 11, 2012.
Lifetime did host a Lifetime series called “The Houstons: On Our Own,” the show only lasted for one season. The series followed the life of Bobbi Kristina Brown as she struggled with her mother’s death and her budding music-career.
Bobby Brown has two other children from an earlier relationship. Bobbi Kristina is also survived by her grandmother Cissy, her aunt Pat Houston and her uncle Gary Houston.
