D23 Expo: Finding Dory, Civil War, Star Wars and Alice news awaits fans

Walt Disney Studios always has a lot of exclusive offerings for fans that attend the D23 expo each year but this year may be one of the most exciting times to attend in decades. Fans will get to hear about future projects from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm at the annual event, taking place from August 14 through 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The Studio will have new information to share about the company’s animation and live-action film, promising “surprise guests” and “many unforgettable moments” according to organizers.

Other not-to-be-missed events include a Frozen FANdemonium musical celebration with Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and the 20th anniversary celebration of Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story with John Lasseter and the original Pixar crew.

At the show Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios will host a “Upcoming Films” panel with John Lasseter the chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. Fans will catch never-before-seen footage from Pixar’s upcoming “The Good Dinosaur” and “Finding Dory.” There will also be new info shared about Disney Animation’s Zootopia and Moana.

The “Worlds, Galaxies, and Universes: Live Action” panel will bring Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm to Hall D23. Fans can join Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn for a tour of upcoming live-action projects from these film studios. Films include Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Jungle Book, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens—and “much, much more”.

You can’t have a Disney day for fans without a little “Frozen” right? Disney will be hosting a “Frozen FANdemonium: A Musical Celebration!” with host Chris Montan, president, Walt Disney Music, and the Oscar-winning songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The duo will take fans on a once-in-a-lifetime musical journey through the world of Frozen.
