Rosamund Pike has joined the cast of Radar Pictures’ upcoming political-thriller “High Wire Act,” the popular “Gone Girl” actor will co-star with Jon Hamm in the film.
The upcoming movie will be directed by Brad Anderson with Mike Weber, Ted Field and Tony Gilroy producing the film.
The story takes place in Beirut during the 1980s, where a former U.S. Diplomat (played by Jon Hamm) returns to save a former colleague from a radical group of extremist. This group not only has his former friend captive, but may have also killed his family in the past.
Rosamund Pike will join the film as a CIA field agent that has been working undercover at the American embassy. In the film Pike’s character is Hamm’s handler, making sure that he not only rescues his former colleague, but stays alive as well. All the while Pike’s character and Hamm’s character must be mindful of American’s deteriorating foreign-relations in the region.
More information on the project, other castings and a release window will be announced as the film move farther along in production.
