One of the more promising horror-thrillers to hit San Diego Comic-Con this year was “Crimson Peak” from Universal Pictures. With a fantastic cast and helmed by popular director Guillermo del Toro, the film was one of the more popular events at this year’s Comic-Con halls.
The film follows the story of a young woman, who after having her heart stolen by a seductive stranger, is quickly swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay.
It’s here among the secrets and deceptions that her life will change forever. The studio teases,”Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak.”
The project comes from the imagination of director Guillermo del Toro and is being described as a gothic romance. The film stars Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam.
The film was produced by Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Guillermo del Toro and Callum Greene. Jillian Share served as the film’s executive producer.
